Got a bit done today!
Another nice day, two rows of sugar snap peas for Julian to keep an eye on, netted to foil the birds!
Three rows of leeks in front of the bramley!
Pulled out the old purple sprouting brcolli and started peparing for carrots, but my back started to complain, so I'll have another go tomorrow.

Pain killers!
Spent most of the day on the lotty, but with painkillers for the back. Visited the doctor and the diagnosis is backache!
But, my home made poly planter is now filled with horse manure with a layer of compost on top and sown with mixed salad leaves.
I've sown two varieties of sugar snap peas either side of my framework, and netted around it to keep the birds off!
A row of beetroot seeds are sown behind the polytunnel, using up a bit of space, and a bit of weeding and raking done ready for morw planting. I'd like to get three rows of leek seeds in tomorrow, and maybe chanttenay carrots.
Really must remember to take some pics as well!

The dreaded backache!
Gone and overdone it a bit, mainly by being greedy, but I had to leave the plot at midday today after trying to lift a pallet! Now its even painful to walk
I'll have to rest up a few days, because spring is on its way, along with all the planting!
-8ºC last night, even the shed kettle froze up! I just hoping my seed spuds are ok. Definitely lost one or two plants in the polytunnel.

Sunny, cold weekend!
A beautiful sunny weekend and I get a bad back! Probably something to do with over zealous wheel barrow work in the week!
But I managed to complete the duckboard for the tunnel, thanks to fellow plotter Dave's generosity. Did a bit of seed planting, but a -7ºC overnight frost may not have helped!

More sunshine!
Twelve to four-thirty today! More tidying, prepared the cold frame for melons, sunflower seeds planted and some work in the poly tunnel.

A sunny day with no wind.....
So it was a good day to erect the polytunnel!
