For the chop!

Well, this is the remains of the cardoon plant that I thought was a globe artichoke.
It'll grow again next year if I leave it, but I'm in two minds wether to leave it or dig it out completely!
Its saving grace is its attraction for bees, but that's only for a short time. It really takes up space just were I'd like a fruit tree, and it will also attract bees and be productive!

Reading this I've convinced myself to try and dig it out, but I've no idea how deep it goes!
